Dr.Hemant Patel

               Hemant Patel was born on 5th July, 1989 in Gujarat. He achieved his Bachelor Degree in English from Arts College Vijaynagar in 2009 and Master Degree from Department of English, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University Patan in 2011. He was Gold Medalist both in B.A. and M.A. He served as an Assistant Professor in Grow More Faculty of Diploma Engineering for a year. At present he is pursuing his Ph. D. from Kadi Sarva Vishvavidyalaya, Gandhinagar. The topic of his research is ‘Thematic Paradigm and Narrative Techniques in the Fiction of Shashi Deshpande: A Reassessment’. He has presented a paper on Anita Desai’s Contribution to Indian English Literature in national seminar on Indian Women Writings in English. He has participated in the International Conference on Celebrating 50th Year of Swarnim Gujarat – The Role of Gujarati Diaspora organized by The UGC Area Study Centre for Indian Diaspora and Cultural Studies, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. His article Rohinton Mistry as a Writer was published in The Literary Musing – A Refereed Journal of English Language and Literary Writings. His article A Critical Study of Anita Desai’s Baumgartner’s Bombay was published in Anita Desai’s Fiction – A Study Through Different Perspectives. .
